Touch Therapy to Elevate the Spirit
HeartMind Bodywork is a collaborative healing bodywork forum directed
by Matthew Sweigart, CI and David Goetz, CMT. Its mission is
to elevate the spirit of humanity through the traditional healing art
of HeartMind Shiatsu, Personal Qigong Practices and educational materials
and products which support a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
Matthew Sweigart, CI
Matthew created the HeartMind Shiatsu system based in traditional Japanese
Shiatsu with an emphasis on personal Qi cultivation. Matthew's training
background includes fifteen years as a Certified Ohashiatsu Instructor,
training with 7 Qigong masters and Native American ritual practice. He
now teaches HeartMind Shiatsu around the country at various locations,
including Zen Shiastu Chicago, at www.zenshiatsuchicago.org. Matthew has taught Shiatsu specialty courses at various Massage Schools in Northern California since 2000, and is currently offering HeartMind Shiatsu Training independently in Auburn and Nevada City, California.
David Goetz, CMT
David is a graduate of the Boulder College of Massage and co-director
of HeartMind Bodywork and the Bodywork Bistro. He has trained
and worked extensively with Matthew in the HeartMind Shiatsu system since
1990. His training background includes 25 years in the natural
foods and health and wellness industry, as well as extensive training
in Qigong and personal cultivation methods.
